Biography

Quentin Wetsel is a partner with Wetsel & Lederle, LLP with offices in Sweetwater and Lubbock, Texas. Licensed to practice in Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma, Quentin specializes in real property law, primarily energy law, including, but not limited to, the drafting and examination of mineral and surface titles, real estate contracts, oil and gas leases, and renewable energy leases.

Quentin received a B.B.A. in Energy Commerce from Texas Tech University in 2018, and he received his J.D. with honors from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2022. While in law school he co-founded the Journal of the Energy Law Practitioner ("JELP") where he served as Lead Articles Editor and proceeded to publish: "Texas Wind Severance: The Missing Private Property Right," and “Lyle v. Midway Solar and The Accommodation Doctrine,” both of which were published in JELP’s first edition in July 2022.

As a born and raised native of Sweetwater, Texas, Quentin understands the importance of private property ownership and the growing concern to preserve such ownership for the generations to come.
